Originally from Dewsbury, Ben graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000. His empathy and calmness have lead to an interest in dentistry for anxious children and adults. He is highly experienced at using all sedation techniques and gained a Diploma in Conscious Sedation in Dentistry from the University of Newcastle. Ben’s aim is to provide excellent family dentistry in a relaxed and calm environment. As well as working in general practice in the UK and Australia he has also worked in specialist sedation clinics, taught dental students at the University of Melbourne and was an examiner for the Australian Dental Council.

Outside of dentistry Ben enjoys travel and has visited many parts of the world including South America, Europe, the Himalayas, South East Asia, India, the Middle East and Africa. He is proud to have carried out volunteer dental work in Eastern Europe and the Caribbean. His other interests include photography, swimming, reading, walking, property renovation and skiing.  In 2021 Ben returned to live in Hutton Rudby, North Yorkshire with his wife and two daughters after living in Melbourne, Australia for 7 years.
