Gum care
Gum disease affects many of us to a greater or lesser degree and is the biggest single cause of tooth loss in adults. If left untreated gum disease can result in bleeding gums, loose teeth, bad breath and gum abscesses. Gum disease also affects the rest of the body increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and respiratory infections amongst other conditions. The great news is that gum disease is treatable.
The first stage in management is diagnosis, every patient we see is screened for gum disease so we can advise you of the appropriate treatment.
Our award-winning hygienists can administer a variety of treatments under the direction of the dentist. Our treatment plans are focussed on you and we work really hard to help you understand how you can care for your teeth and gums to maintain the very best health.

I have a gene which makes me very susceptible to gum disease. Luckily I have been given excellent care and guidance over many years from this practice. As a result I still have almost all of my teeth in my early seventies.
