Originally from Romania, Gabriela arrived in England in 2014 aged sixteen with minimal spoken English. Through hard work and determination she passed her GCSE’s which she sat in English a year after moving here and then completed her diploma in health and social care whilst working part time in a restaurant.

We were delighted to welcome her as part of our team in 2016 and we quickly noticed her sharp intelligence and infectious enthusiasm for engaging with people. After her busy days on the clinic Gabriela studied at night class towards her dental nursing qualification and passed in record quick time at the end of 2017.

She continued on this upwards trajectory by achieving the Certificate in Oral Health Education from the British Dental Association in 2019. This allows her to make the most of her communication skills and to develop her interest in prevention based, patient focused health care.

Gabriela lives with her fiancé, Liam and son, Arthur in York. She loves shopping and exploring her new home country when not busy at work.
